Nonprofit fundraisers run on CRMs that feel a decade behind: admin heavy, clunky, built to store records rather than grow relationships. So the people whose job is donors spend their days in data entry instead.
I’m the founding design hire building it end to end.
Craft
This is where “design engineer” is literal: I own the loop from brand and design system to production React, with no handoff.
On that foundation I’ve shipped the core product, design and code both mine:
- Contacts and households, with the donor logic underneath.
- Gifts, an import wizard, dashboards, and activity timelines.
Impact
As a one person design function, I’ve shipped the surface area of a team:
- The design system and the core CRM modules.
- A full transactional email suite (light and dark, wired to Supabase).
The design.md plus AI workflow is the multiplier: it’s why one person can hold design, frontend, and product at once and still ship fast and consistent.
